Appointment: New Chairman Ondo Council Of Obas Aladetoyinbo Appreciates Akeredolu, Promises Vibrant Traditional Institution

The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo has received the news of his appointment as the Chairman of Ondo State Council of Obas with utmost joy and all sense of humility.

Oba Aladetoyinbo wishes to appreciate our amiable and dynamic Governor, Mr. Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the appointment most importantly at a time when there should be more synergy and collaboration between the Government and the Traditional Institutions in the area of security and overall development of the State.

As the new Chairman of the Council of Obas, Oba Aladetoyinbo shall be fully committed to reinvigorating the Traditional Institutions towards making it more responsive to the yearnings of our people, who are eagerly looking forward to the Traditional Rulers to practically proffer solutions to the amalgams of challenges facing our dear Nation and State.

Oba Aladetoyinbo appreciate the immediate past Chairman of the Council, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Fredrick Enitiolorunda Akinrutan Okoro Ajiga I, The Olugbo and Prescribed Authority of Ugbo Land for providing quality leadership for the council while he holds the fort.

Oba Ogunlade equally thanked all the Traditional Rulers in the State and wishes to solicit their continued support for him as the Chairman of the Council.

Oba Aladetoyinbo sincerely appreciate everyone for their good wishes, messages and prayers since the news broke out.

His Majesty looks forward to a more united, virile and strong council under his leadership

Ondo PS Education Commends Oyemekun Principal Over Projects

 The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education in Ondo State, Mrs Lola Amuda has lauded the Principal of Oyemekun Grammar School,Akure, Mr Ogunleye Okeowo over Project embarked upon in the school, describing him as a pacesetter and role model to other schools in Ondo State. She made this remarks during her assessment tour to the school, assessing the preparation of the Oyemekun Grammar School as students resume for 2022/23 academic session. Ondo Govt Reacts To Anglican’s Plans To Take Over Two Popular Schools In Akure

  The Ondo state government has endorsed plans by Anglican Church to take over famous Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure and Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar school, on  Monday 17th October, 2022 reported the efforts being made by the Anglican Church in Ondo state to take over the schools as confirmed by Most Reverend Simeon Borokini, the Anglican Bishop of Akure Diocese and Archbishop of Ondo  Ecclesiastical province. Reacting, the commissioner for education and science and technology, Femi Agagu in an interview  said the state government was ready to return public schools to missions showing interest.
